DIY Flash Card (Bounce Card)

Creating a DIY flash card is one of the most easiest DIY project to do.

Materials Used:
  • Illustration Board. White Front and Black Back.
  • Masking Tape
  • Velcro Strips
  • Strong Cutter
  • Ruler

Simply decide on the dimension of the flash card that you can to make. Mine's measuring at 20cm x 10cm. Carefully cut your illustration with a cutter. Slow and steady, you don't want a crooked card. After cutting, I placed masking tape on all sides of the card. This will prevent it from opening up should it hit something hard.

Attach the rough side of the Velcro Strip on one of the ends (at both sides). Attach the smooth side to your flash. Make sure that it won't interfere with your Flash diffuser cap. And you're done!

I use the white side for flash diffuser. Usually during events or indoor flash activity. I use the black side as a flash GOBO. I use it to control the light spill thus preventing unnecessary light to hit my camera (and produce flare)
